a quick hello

well hellooo blogland! things have been interesting since i last posted. let's see... i experienced my first earthquake and battened down for a hurricane, which thankfully in my area turned out to be just a strong storm. the only damage we accrued was to one of our trellises and some cucumber plants which weren't producing much anyway.

things on the food front haven't been too exciting, though i did find some wild edible purslane in my yard that i'll post more about later. now i'm off to do some peach-picking.
